Help & Support

Answers for homeowners and tradies, and how to get in touch.

Getting help

Most questions are answered below. If you can't find what you need, get in touch using the contact details further down this page. We aim to respond to support enquiries within two working days.

For homeowners

How do I post a job?

Describe what you need, set a budget and add photos, then publish. Suitable local tradies are matched to your job and can express interest. See How It Works for the full walkthrough.

Does it cost anything to post a job?

Posting a job and receiving matches is free for homeowners. You agree pricing for the work directly with the tradie you choose.

Who is responsible for the work?

The job is a contract between you and the tradie. BuildersLink connects you but is not a party to that agreement — see our Disputes & Liability page for how this works and your options if something goes wrong.

For tradies

How do I get work through BuildersLink?

Create a tradie profile, get verified, and you'll be matched to relevant local jobs you can express interest in. You only pursue the jobs that suit you.

How does pricing work for tradies?

See our Pricing page for current plans. You agree the price for each job directly with the customer.

What are my obligations?

Tradies use BuildersLink in trade and are expected to hold the right licences, insurance and consents for the work they take on, and to follow our community standards. Our Terms & Conditions set out the details.

Safety & reporting

Your safety matters. If someone behaves inappropriately, a job feels unsafe, or you suspect a scam, stop and report it. You can raise an issue against a job using the dispute tools in your dashboard, and you should contact your local authorities directly in an emergency. Conduct that breaches our community standards can lead to removal from the platform.

Contact us

Once you've signed in, you can message us and the people you're working with directly from your dashboard. For anything about a specific job, use the dispute tools described above.
